Michael Zunini Seguich (2007-2014)
As an outstanding athlete, he approaches the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga to recover the lost flexibility. A regular daily practice at Gustavo Ponce´s Yogashala was enough for him to decide to undertake a journey in search of experience and knowledge in 2008. This is how he found his first and great teacher, John Scott, who taught him with dedication for a year as the practice takes so much inside as in daily life. Along the way he has found several sources of inspiration, but undoubtedly Rolf Naujokat and Matthew Vollmer have marked his path. His frequent trips to Mysore, India, in the AYRI under the tutelage of R. Sharath Jois, made him settled in Thailand in 2011, where he taught for 2 years in a renowned Wellness SPA, and where he opened Ashtanga Yoga Studio Phuket, in operation nowadays. In 2014, he returned to Santiago, Chile, and open Ashtanga Yoga Studio. Recently in 2017, he is the director of Silverbacks BJJ Chile, a brazilian jiujitsu academy, that combines the tradicional marcial art with yoga.

Yoga has been for me a turning point in my life; an opportunity for transformation. Yoga is a gift for life and I feel I must pass it on. I am a graphic designer of profession. At the age of 37, I started to practice yoga. From a very young age, the discipline of sport has been part of my life. In 1997, I started the practice with Gustavo Ponce, since he introduced yoga in Chile. I learnt different methods that produced a profound inner revolution that made me discover the true meaning of my physical and spiritual search. Since then, 21 years ago, I study and practice with full devotion and detachment. My formation has been guided and enriched from the beginning by the frequent contact with Gustavo Ponce, Marina Chaselon, Rishi Joseph, Paula Torotolano, Sri Faeq Biria, José Maria Vigar, and others. At the same time, while I lived a few years in southern Chile, I had the opportunity to transmit my knowledge, which forced me to enter more deeply into the discipline through more study and practice. After this experience, I realized that yoga in me was not only a tool for my own benefit, but as a help to others.
